About Us

The Friends of the Sacred Heart of Florence, Inc., a recognized Section 501(c)3 organization, is chartered as a non-profit corporation in the Commonwealth of Virginia to provide financial and other support for the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Florence, Italy, a religious order that operates the Institute of the Sacred Heart (Istituto del Sacro Cuore di Firenze) to include financial support for (1) their programs for the promotion of vocations and the education and formation of the members of the Order, (2) the maintenance and upkeep of convent property, buildings, and grounds in their present location, and in any future location wehre they may be called or invited to continue their apostolate, and (3) the operation and maintenance of the Istituto del Sacro Cuore school and educational programs.

The operations of the Friends of the Sacred Heart of Florence are conducted pro bono and the Board of Directors receives no remuneration for their services.
